Capital Area United Way 
COVID-19 Community Relief Fund

  • Capital Area United Way has established a COVID-19 Community Relief Fund to aid the residents and organizations of our 10-parish region. The fund will be used to assist in the recovery from the pandemic's impact to our local area. The dollars raised will be used to support our 2-1-1 and Crisis Call operations, funding for COVID-19 expenses as well as the ALICE (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed) population who have been greatly impacted by business closures during this time. 

 


St John United Way

  • The Relief Fund has been established to provide flexible resources to nonprofits working with local communities who are disproportionately impacted by coronavirus and the economic consequences of the outbreak; funding priorities will focus on the ALICE population.

  • The United Way of Central Louisiana is using this fund to make grants to agency and congregational partners in ten parishes of Central Louisiana. Our partners in turn purchase food and cleaning supplies, distributing them to homes where a job has been lost or occupants can’t get out for themselves.

  • UWNELA launched a COVID-19 Response Fund in response to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. The fund was created to streamline contributions for COVID-19 needs in Northeast Louisiana to create a coordinated and efficient process for all involved, both organizations and donors. The function of this local COVID-19 Response Fund is to provide resources to assist our most vulnerable community members with immediate needs as well as support their return to stabilization.

  • The United for Northwest Louisiana Fund is an emergency response fund used in times of crisis to address both the short and long-term needs of those disproportionately affected by COVID-19. The United for NWLA Fund will be used to serve ALICE (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, and Employed) community members in our ten-parish region.

  • United Way of Southeast Louisiana is here before, during, and after the storms of life. Our COVID-19 response efforts include providing immediate funding relief to nonprofits, emergency crisis grants to hospitality workers, SBA loan application assistance to child care providers, and financial capability education to the public. A gift to UWSELA COVID-19 Response Fund will stay local and ensure your United Way can continue to support the growing needs of our struggling community.

  • For 80 years United Way of Southwest Louisiana has served the five parish region during catastrophic flooding and hurricane events and this crisis will be no different. One hundred percent of donations to the fund will be locally distributed for the purpose of assisting those with lost wages due to layoffs or business closures. “We are deeply concerned for those workers who already struggle financially and don’t have jobs that offer paid sick days or the option to work from home,” explains Denise Durel, President and CEO of United Way of Southwest Louisiana.
