On behalf of all of the regional United Ways affected by the August 2016 historical floods in Louisiana, we would like to thank everyone who has supported the Louisiana United Way Flood Fund. Your generosity will help regional United Ways serve the immediate needs of flood victims as well as support long-term recovery throughout the affected regions. With your support, we can restore lives. 

Thanks to the generosity of the 21 Century Fox Foundation, 100% of individual donations given to the Louisiana United Way Flood Fund will be directed to relief and recovery efforts.

2016 Louisiana United Way Flood Fund Investments:

As a result of the generous donations to the Louisiana United Way Flood Fund, grants will be made available to all Louisiana United Ways responding to federally-declared flooded areas in Louisiana. 

Thus far, Louisiana Association of United Ways (LAUW) has provided 2 Phases of Grants:

  • LAUW Phase I Grants for Relief and Immediate Aid to Flood Survivors

  • LAUW Phase II Grants for Long-Term Recovery and Unmet Needs of Flood Survivors
     

Phase I Grant Awards Released on September 1, 2016

LAUW Phase I Grants for Relief and Immediate Aid to Flood Survivors were awarded to all Louisiana United Ways serving federally-declared flooded areas.

The following Louisiana United Ways accepted the grant awards:

Phase II Grants for Long-Term Recovery released on November 8, 2016

Phase II Grants for Long-Term Recovery were awarded to help families to restore homes and meet the unmet needs of flood survivors.  All applicants seeking grant funds received awards to serve their communities in recovery.
